Holy (ホーリィ Hōrii?) whose real name is Reina (レイナ Reina?), is a Commander of the Interstellar Union Army[3], a leader of her own team of soldiers[4], and one of the Oración Seis Interstellar.[5]

Appearance[]

Holy is a slender, well-endowed young woman with purple eyes and matching long, wavy hair that covers her left eye (light blue in the anime).[1] She wears a black and red dress that has a cleavage window, a headdress shaped like horns, and a long slit skirt exposing her left leg.[1][6] She also has a mark of the Interstellar Union Army on the front of her neck.[5]

When meeting Shiki's crew at Ryuzetsu Land, she is seen wearing a revealing elegant dark-colored swimsuit with two pieces of cloth flowing at the back and another wrapped around her right leg.[7]

Personality[]

Holy is a flirtatious woman, as she lamented to not have taken down "little Drakky" and teases "little Justice" to be a stickler for rules and being in love even though that went straight over his head, feeling a bit jealous of "precious little Elsie".[8][9] Holy is also an outspoken woman who sees the big picture as while she doesn't mind Justice's pursuit of Elsie, she reminds him to take the bigger threat of Nero and his son Shura seriously, and advises her fellow Interstellar member to let Jaguar and Eraser help him instead of doing it alone.[10][11]

Holy is shown to be very secretive and places personal matters on a higher priority, being busy with another agenda, making her unable to help during the Aoi War.[6] When she met up with Shiki and his crew, she puts on a motherly and kind image in order to win them over.[12] Originally, she plotted to arrest Shiki after accomplishing their goal of defeating Ziggy and Crow by seducing him with her body. However, she later decides not to carry it out and parted with him and his crew on positive terms.[13]

Holy carries an immense hatred for Deadend Crow, the one who caused the "Bloody Atmos Day Incident" in which she was the only survivor.[14] Holy's determination to kill Crow and avenge her sister's death and herself leads her to form an alliance with Shiki and Elsie, both members of the Galáctica.[15][16][17] During the battle against Crow, Holy acted more ruthless and became focused on destroying him, even willing to sacrifice herself to do so.[18] Once she learned that Cure, her fellow Interstellar, was the core of the titan and the true source of all the evil he had caused, her hatred passed to him.[19][20]

Synopsis[]

Red Cave arc[]

Holy attends a Prayer Council via transmission with her fellow Oración Seis Interstellar members where she remarks that Justice is a stickler for rules and laments that someone had defeated Drakken Joe before they got the chance.[8] When Justice immediately volunteers to pursue and apprehend Elsie Crimson who arrived at the Aoi Cosmos where her fellow Oración Seis Galáctica member, Poseidon Nero resides, Holy teases him for being in love with the space pirate which flies over his head. Afterward, they pray and end their Prayer Council.[21]

Foresta arc[]

After Elsie withdraws from her battle with Justice, Holy contacts her fellow Interstellar member via a holographic screen transmission, commenting that the Armored Space Pirate is tough. She expects nothing less from the youngest member of the Oración Seis Galáctica, afraid to see what the young woman will be capable of within 5 or 10 years from now. Holy tells an injured Justice that she does not mind if he wants to chase after his ex-girlfriend but then reminds him to keep Poseidon Nero in mind. She believes that the Emperor is bound to make some sort of move and he will want revenge on Ziggy for what he did to Foresta.[22]

Contacting a recuperating Justice from a luxury bar somewhere, Holy informs her fellow Interstellar member that Nero's top officials, the Oceans 6 have assembled on Planet Nero 1: The Temple including the Emperor's son, Shura whom she calls him "a twisted deadbeat". She chides an unconcerned Justice that he should care because Shura could be a real threat. Holy tells the soldier that Nero is old and once he dies, Shura will take over the Nero Empire. She believes that now it is their chance to destroy Shura and if they fail, the Aoi Cosmos will suffer for it later. Holy remarks that with men like Shura, there is no telling what they will do once they get real power. In any case, the female Interstellar member comments that there are far too many big fish in the Aoi Cosmos and tells Justice that he won't be able to handle them on his own. Holy informs the soldier that Jaguar and Eraser are on their way and advises the soldier to let them help him. Smiling impishly, she answers Justice's question that she has other fish to fry.[11]

Nero 66 arc[]

In the aftermath of the Aoi War, Holy attends a Prayer Council where she solemnly learns that Jaguar and Creed are dead along with thousands of Interstellar Union Army troops. She is surprised when Feather speaks out that there are four Galáctica members left, musing how rare it is for her to talk and that Eraser is staying silent. Holy is told by Eraser that he just returned from the battle after so many lives were wiped out, which she makes an "erased" pun. When Eraser lists the other three Galáctica members being a bigger problem than Elsie, Holy smiles after Deadend Crow is brought up. Afterward, they pray and end their Prayer Council.[23]

X495 arc[]

Relaxing in her bathtub, Holy contacts Feather and remarks about the Crew of Edens' recent escape from her fellow female Interstellar member's pursuit. She tells the commander to trade places with her, and reveals that Shiki and his friends are heading to Lendard in the Kaede Cosmos. Holy declares that it is her turn for she will launch an "immaculate military operation".[24]

Arriving on Dahlia, Holy in her bikini shows up to tell the group of thugs that it is enough, warning them that they could get arrested if they start a fight in a public place like Ryuzetsu Land. She introduces herself as one of the Oración Seis Interstellar and declares that she will arrest them if they don't cease their foolishness, scaring the thugs off. Facing an apprehensive Shiki and Rebecca, the commander simply reassures the two that she is not their enemy. Reaching out her hand, Holy asks Shiki if he will join forces with her and states that they can be friends.[25] When Shiki and Rebecca express their doubts about it, Holy implores them to at least hear her out, stating that she shares their goal of defeating Ziggy. However, she remarks that they can't talk about it in the open with civilians around. Leaving, the female Interstellar member tells Shiki to meet with her on the rooftop lounge in 1 hour.[26]

Taking a dip in the swimming pool, Holy emerges to notice that Shiki and his friends have arrived early and greet them, exiting the pool. While drying herself up with a towel, she tells them to make themselves comfortable. Cooking food on the grill, Holy apologizes for the delayed meal as she never expected them to be early than intended. The commander then informs Shiki and his friends to make one thing very clear and reveals that she was not in favor of Shiki being named as one of the Galáctica and she was not opposed either. She states that she acknowledges Shiki's strength and his powers are on the same level with Elsie and the rest of the Galáctica. Holy declares that if they are to defeat Ziggy and the Oración Seis Galáctica, working together would be the most efficient. Answering Homura's question, she explains that the Oración Seis Interstellar are a special team organized specifically to defeat the Oración Seis Galáctica and they have no leader, authorized to act on their own individual judgment. Finished cooking the meal, Holy summarizes that she and her comrades are free to team up with whoever they wish. She appeals with Shiki to not believe everyone in the Cosmic Government to be evil as she doesn't believe him to be evil either. Smiling warmly, Holy allows them to help themselves with the meal on the table. Taking a seat, she decides that it is time to discuss the main order of business and casually asks Pino if the rest of Edens Zero's crew are listening through her much to their surprise that she is aware of their presence. Holy then explains that her ultimate goal is to defeat Ziggy but she has another objective; to track down Deadend Crow and kill him with her own hands. When Shiki objected killing Deadend Crow, she apologizes for being so blunt and settles for simply arresting him instead, remarking that he is sure to get a death penalty anyway. Holy reveals to Shiki and his friends that Deadend Crow is at Lendard and he has joined forces with Ziggy, including the fact that he is a machine. She informs them that Deadend Crow was considered as the most dangerous machine before Ziggy's reawakening and the one responsible behind the "Bloody Atmos Day Incident", which resulted to 1 million casualties. Holy states to an unnerved Rebecca that it was a public story behind a terrible truth and that someone she knew got caught in it. She describes Deadend Crow to be a monster who sees humans as his toys and it is enough reason for him to join Ziggy. The female Interstellar member proposes that she will help the Crew of Edens defeat Ziggy in exchange for helping her defeat Deadend Crow. Accepting Shiki's consideration to talk with his crew about the offer, Holy reminds him that she will not see him as an enemy depending on his answer and it also extends to Elsie too as well. Bidding Shiki farewell, she states that she is looking forward for his response.[27]

Dispatching the group of thugs with her Ether Gear from afar while taking a shower, Holy wonders if her "spell" is working its magic yet and declares that all the filth will be melt away. Smiling ominously, she repeats her previous statement and states that until she has her answer from Shiki, she will go ahead and use his Satan Gravity for herself.[28]

Returning to the Midnight in space, Holy is contacted by Shiki and asks him about his decision. She learns that Shiki accepts her offer with one condition; she will stay aboard the Edens Zero until the battle in Lendard is over. Realizing that the Edens Zero crew intend to have her under their watch, Holy accepts Shiki's terms and states that she is looking forward to work with him.[29]

Holy trying out some outfits

Holy trying out new outfits from the Dress Factory.

Boarding the Edens Zero, Holy remarks about the ship's interior before Hermit directs her to her assigned room. She complies with Hermit after learning that she is free to come and go wherever she likes except the main control room or any of the major facilities of the Edens Zero. The female Interstellar member states to a skeptical android that she is being monitored by the Crew of Edens anyway before teasing Weisz to make him fluster. She reassures Hermit that she would never betray their captain at least for now. Entering the Edens Kitchen's mess hall, Holy remarks that something smells good as she does enjoy cooking herself. She informs Kleene Rutherford that she has done her homework on the crew's backgrounds. Holy is delighted when she is brought to the Dress Factory by Pino and finds the small android's change of clothes into a fluffy bunny cute. Taking Weisz's excited suggestion, Holy changes her clothes from that of a playboy bunny, a maid and a kimono and muses that this is fun. She comments that while she has done research on Shiki's crew, she finds none on Pino. After learning from Hermit that Pino is an anti-bot android, the female Interstellar member states that Pino is exactly what they are going to need in the upcoming battle and smiles at the little bot's resolve. At the Spa of Edens, Holy in a towel is amazed and remarks at how refined the place is to have a hot soak while gazing at the skies of Kaede Cosmos. Unfurling her towel to bathe, she learns that Rebecca and her friends are from the Sakura Cosmos and reveals that she is from the Yukino Cosmos. Holy asks the girls if they know what the Four Cosmoses are called together. She explains that they have another name too, stating the meaning behind the four cosmoses' names and then reveals them to be the "Grand Shiki Cosmos", wondering if it is a coincidence with the Demon King's grandson. Finishing her bath and continuing her tour of the Demon King's warship, Holy stands in front of the Infirmary Room's door as Hermit explains to her that it's Sister's room.[30]

At the Briefing Room, Holy attends the meeting where she playfully scolds Shiki for getting greedy with his conditions but hears him out anyway. When Shiki asks her to take care of Justice, she tells him that she can't do that, reminding him that the Oración Seis Interstellar aren't authorized to give each other orders. But on the other hand, Holy states that Justice can't stop her from joining forces with Shiki and Elsie. The commander retorts to Shiki that attempting to ask the Celestial Judge to stay out of the way will backfire as soon as he knows Elsie is involved and comes running. Noticing Connor, Holy calls him out and notes that he is a fugitive from Lendard, interrogating the captain. She is confused that Connor was working on an all-android planet and learns from him that Ziggy hired human professionals from all kinds of fields to have their knowledge and skills scanned for his growing army of robots much to her disgust. Holy asks the captain if he saw Ziggy which she hears that Connor flew past a giant bot that he assumed it was the Demon King's new weapon during his escape from Lendard. Glaring, she informs Connor that it was Deadend Crow he encountered and that his epithet is the "Titan of Eternal Darkness". Holy reveals to the Crew of Edens that Deadend Crow is 420 meters tall and describes him to be "a living fortress".[31]

When a displeased Elsie expresses her suspicion towards her, Holy tells the Galáctica member to forget about Justice and points out that Ziggy has a powerful army, stating that their enemy have the numerical advantage even if Elsie's space pirate fleet and the Edens Zero join forces. With a cheeky face, she offers to add her Interstellar Union Army fleet to increase their chances of winning. As Hermit explains the strategy to break through Lendard's defense zone, Holy chimes in that she will give orders to her Midnight ships from the Edens Zero. Watching Elsie's shocked expression at Deadend Crow being on Ziggy's side with vindication, she states that it is better to have more allies on their side.[32] Holy silently listens to Hermit explaining to everyone in the Briefing Room about the pattern of Chronophage going to planets whenever someone has acted against the stream of time.[33]

Lendard arc[]

When Connor makes a rousing speech to the Crew of Edens and their allies, Holy remains quiet.[34] Later, Holy privately contacts her two subordinates Ibuki and Shiro who are in charge of her Interstellar Union Army forces, addressing their concerns of teaming up with two Galáctica members that Feather already knows and reminding them to do as she instructed. She tells them to show their enemies the power of the Midnight fleet and wait until the time comes for the "immaculate military operation".[35] However, she is shocked when huge swarms of Dragons appear as part of Lendard's defense zone and realizes in horror that Deadend Crow is not the only Galáctica member who joined forces with Ziggy; God Acnoella.[36]

Regaining her composure, Holy orders her fleet to eliminate the Dragons. When Hermit is surprised to see her ships possess anti-Dragon Ether, the commander states that as one of the Oración Seis Interstellar, she considers the possibility that they would fight God Acnoella. After learning that Hermit plans to create her own brand of anti-Dragon Ether, she tells her that it took years for the Interstellar Union Army to develop it. But Holy is shocked when Hermit succeeded shortly and immediately shared the anti-Dragon Ether with the forces of Shiki and Elsie. She internally notes that the Crew of Edens are formidable to grow at such terrific speed. Holy then learns that the Edens Zero has its own Knight Gear; Warrior Maid 95.[37]

When Hermit and Sister intend to go through the plan to take down Crow, Holy coldly remarks that they made it sound so easy. She replies to the Mind of Edens that she has the training to pilot a Knight Gear and questions if she's willing to let her use Edens Zero's Knight Gear. The commander is surprised when Hermit reveals that she also researched about her past too as well and advises her to fight alongside them. Holy thanks Hermit for willing to help her.[38]

Upon seeing Crow confronting the Edens Zero through the visual screen, Holy darkly smiles with anticipation.[39] Piloting the Steel Sorceress 94, Holy comments on the female battle suit's exposed chest area that she is currently wearing before launching into battle against Crow.[40] Observing Crow pursuing the forces of Edens Zero through the city he smashes through from above, Holy tells them to fight off the little ones and clear a path for her. Glaring at her target, the commander declares that she will finish him off.[41]

Facing Crow head on, the Holy declares how long she have waited for this moment to get her revenge.[42] When Hermit express her doubts about using Ether attacks on Crow at max power, Holy interjects that it will work and explains that according to her calculations, if the Edens Zero's Star Bringer is fired at the gigantic android's core, it will destroy it. She declares that it is her job to reveal the core to the Crew of Edens before piloting the Steel Sorceress 94 towards Crow. Holy unleashes Lightning Ether at Crow to no effect which she reminds Hermit that she has to do this in order to locate his core. Seeing the flow of her enemy's Ether, she attacks again with Fire Ether and quickly dodges a punch. Maneuvering her Knight Gear, the commander strikes the Galáctica member once more with Ice Ether and succeeded in locating the core before firing missiles directly at it. Holy declares that she has waited for this day to finally destroy Crow and uses Ether Link before activating her Ether Gear, Melt. She punctures a huge hole on Crow's stomach where the core is, shocking her enemy. When Hermit advises her to withdraw, Holy ends up caught by the mass of wires from the giant android's body as her Knight Gear is forcibly pulled inside. Trapped within Crow's body, Holy contacts the Edens Zero and tells them to fire the fully charged Star Bringer at their target along with her much to Hermit's protest.[18]

Holy melts Inner Crow

Holy melting the human-sized Crow.

Inside Crow's body, Holy leaves the incapacitated Knight Gear behind as she comments that she lost contact with Edens Zero. She realizes with anticipation that she can destroy Deadend Crow from within through her Melt. However, she notices that she cannot use her Ether Gear to her shock, before facing the human-sized Galáctica member who explains that he has an Ether Jammer. The Interstellar member asks Crow if that is his real body, but the latter retorts that he is simply the manifestation of his personality. Enraged, Holy charges at Crow and attempts to throw a punch but he catches it with ease. She continues to glare at the Galáctica member who recognizes her and then breaks her arm. Tearfully reeling in pain, she reminds Crow that he slaughtered everyone including her sister Sara on Atmos Day. Holy attempts to throw another punch with her other arm but Crow catches her by the neck, choking her. She cries in despair before she is saved by Jinn and Laguna Husert.[14] While relieved, Holy questions how the two are able to use their Ether Gears. After hearing Jinn explaining that his sister managed to neutralize the Ether Jammer, she remembers her sister Sara before realizing that she can use her Ether Gear now. The Interstellar member immediately melts down the human-sized Crow with her Ether Gear before informing the two that it was not the real Crow. She questions why they did not fire the Star Bringer and reminds them that she is not a part of the Crew of Edens. Holy eventually agrees to let them accompany her and find Crow's power source to shut it down.[43]

Traversing inside Crow's body, Holy wonders if the giant android really has a power source before wincing in pain because of her broken right arm. She is confused when Laguna requests her to cry for him, which she does when he shows her an Oedo Onion. Holy watches her injured limb turn into water by Laguna's Tears Lover before returning to normal. She realizes that her arm is healed, complimenting Laguna's Ether Gear and thanking him. Suddenly, Holy and the two are confronted by swarms of robots emerging from the body of Crow, calling them gross. The commander engages them in battle, melting them down in her path but notes that there are so many of them. Suddenly, she and her allies are unable to use their Ether Gears anymore.[44] Fighting off her enemies, Holy is annoyed that she can not use her Melt anymore and tells a concerned Jinn to check on his sister. She is moved by Jinn's speech about family and reminds him that she is not exactly alone, referring to the Interstellar Union Army. Holy notices Laguna's lack of presence and comments on their trust between members.[45]

Holy vs Cure

Holy clashing against Cure

Holy is surprised when Jinn informs her that there is a gap behind the wall nearby and notes that there is a lot of energy coming out of it. She enters through the gap while Jinn holds off the robot drones, pushing through until she reaches her destination. However, she is shocked when Cure is waiting for her, questioning his presence.[46] Approaching Cure, Holy is relieved that a fellow Interstellar member is here to help her before she gets shot down by Cure. She is shocked of the betrayal as she learns that Cure revealed himself to be Crow's power source, or rather his main body. The commander is confused when Cure explains that there must be balance in the universe and proclaims himself to be good and evil along with the fact he created darkness such as Poseidon Nero and Drakken Joe for the Interstellar Union Army to wipe them out and shine brighter. She is angered upon learning that Cure created Deadend Crow and called him as his "greatest masterpiece", demanding if he was behind the Blood Atmos Day.[47] Getting on her feet, Holy recalls that it happened on the planet Swan 13 years ago where Crow suddenly appeared during Atmos Day and took many lives including her sister Sara. She tearfully remarks about Sara's dreams of becoming a champion of justice and states that Crow took her and the surviving women to be hung up naked at the town square for his "sick entertainment", where only she survived. The commander lividly calls out on Cure, asking him why did he have to attack her home planet through Crow and took away their lives for his "deranged" ideals. She retorts that good people don't create evil and viciously punched Cure in the face, calling him the only evil to her which sent him flying to the wall. Holy rebukes him for lying to the Interstellar Union Army and he has no empathy for innocent life. She denounces Cure as a "vile creature" not worthy to be lumped with the Oración Seis Interstellar. When Cure pointed out about the Ether Jammer, Holy notices her Ether Gear working again, thanking Kleene before immediately attacking the treacherous Interstellar member with Melt, engaging him in battle.[48]

Melty Kiss

Holy destroying Crow's power source behind Cure's back.

Holy attacks Cure with her Ether Gear, telling him to disappear into nothing. However, she is struck in the stomach after Cure instantly regenerates and inquires her if she knew about his power. Enduring a barrage of blows, the commander slyly asks him if he is done with his delusional speech and reveals that she destroyed the power source of Crow with Melty Kiss. She is shocked when Cure fuses himself to Crow with a mass of wires attaching to his robotic body. Holy is distracted by Jinn who informs her that they should escape after completing the objective, losing sight of the rogue Interstellar member. She angrily shouts for Cure to come out and face her but Jinn snaps her out of it, telling her that ending her life here is not what she wanted. Holy reluctantly agrees with Jinn and escaped the giant body of Crow with the Steel Sorceress 94.[49] She is surprised to see Eraser appear on top of the Hot Eyes above Crow as her fellow Interstellar member erases the regenerated spot where Crow's core is located.[50]

Witnessing the complete demise of Crow and Cure by the Edens Zero's Star Bringer, Holy melancholily mutters her sister's name and declares that her fight is over.[51] She is surprised that Eraser and Feather already knew who Cure really was, only to be corrected that they just found out. Holy learns from her fellow Interstellar members that because of her battle with him, Crow's camouflage shield was taken out and exposed Cure to them.[52]

Holy later returns to the Edens Zero, recuperating from her injuries in the Infirmary Room.[53] Eventually, the commander recovers and thanks the crew for their help in accomplishing her goal before returning to the Interstellar Union Army. In the Midnight, she discusses with her two subordinates Ibuki and Shiro, informing them that the Galáctica was all but eliminated and the Interstellar lost half of their numbers. She states that they will have to consider where they will go from there. When her subordinates question about her "immaculate military operation" that she called off, Holy coyly reveals that it was her plot to arrest Shiki after defeating Crow by seducing him with her body, cupping her chest to emphasize her point much to their chagrin.[54]
