Edens Zero Wiki

The Grand Shiki Cosmos (四季大宇宙 Shiki Daiuchū?, Lit. "Four Seasons Grand Cosmos"), normally just called the Four Cosmoses, is the grand cosmos consisting of Sakura, Aoi, Kaede, and Yukino. Because "Shiki" means "Four Seasons", each of the cosmoses represents a season.[1]

Regions[]

Sakura Cosmos[]

The Sakura Cosmos (Manga)

The Sakura Cosmos (Manga)

The Sakura Cosmos ((サクラ)宇宙(コスモス) Sakura Kosumosu?, lit. "Cherry Blossom Cosmos") is home to several different planets, each of which is defined by their individuality; such as theme parks where robots resided[2] and where Shiki was raised.[3] Dwelling within these cosmos are the Dragons.[4] It is bordered by Dragonfall where swarms of Dragons exist that prevent travel to the outside universe and other neighboring cosmos.[5]

Several planets of the Sakura Cosmos

Several planets of the Sakura Cosmos

At an unknown point, the Sakura Cosmos was ruled by the Demon King.[6][7]

The cosmos seems to be split into several sectors:

  • Dragonfall: This sector is the border separating the Sakura Cosmos from outer space.[8]
  • Emerald Sector (エメラルド宙域 Emerarudo Chū-iki): This is where Spider's spaceship was located when he hacked into the Edens Zero.[9]

The cosmos is also home to the following planets:

  • Excede (エクシド Ekushido): A planet known to have cats, like Happy, that sell for a lot of money in illegal activities.[10]
  • Genos (ジエノス Jienosu): Said to be the home to many good-looking men, such as models like Cedric.[11]
  • Pigmoria (ビグモリア Bigumoria): A planet which has porcine inhabitants.[12]
  • Zorg (ゾルグ Zorugu): The home planet of Metal Bogey.[13]

Aoi Cosmos[]

The Aoi Cosmos (Manga)

The Aoi Cosmos (Manga)

The Aoi Cosmos ((アオイ)宇宙(コスモス) Aoi Kosumosu?, lit. "Hollyhock Cosmos") is home to a variety of unique and beautiful planets, as described by Connor.[14] Examples of the unique planets that can be found here include a world that is completely covered in foliage. The Aoi Cosmos' most distinct feature is the various streams of water flowing in its space, and dwelling within these waters are a large variety of spacefaring fish that come in many sizes.[15] It was ruled by Poseidon Nero of the Oración Seis Galáctica, the supreme leader of the Nero Empire,[16] prior to his death.[17]

The Aoi Cosmos is also home to quite a large number of aquatic life, aside from the aforementioned space fish that can also be found on some planets, crustaceans like the Aoi Lobster[18] the giant octopus guardian on Red Cave,[19] or the semi-aquatic Camelish.[20]

Once every few years, the ocean that is spread out across the Aoi Cosmos hits high tide, called the Aoi High Tide, which it will swallow up every planet. The planets are protected with their Ether-filled atmosphere, preventing the inhabitants from being submerged in the space water. Inside the great sea, Ether and electricity combine, and all networks become connected through the All-Link System, one of the Nero Empire's weapons.[21]

The cosmos seems to be split into several sectors:

  • Coral Sector: This sector is home to a variety of coral, and like most of the Aoi Cosmos, has a large body of space water floating in it.[22]
  • Poseidon Nero Sector: This sector has a large volume of water floating in space, where a variety of space fish can be found.[23]

The cosmos is also home to the following planets:

  • There are at least 78 planets in the Aoi Cosmos, with at least 73 of them being named after the former emperor, Poseidon Nero.
  • Salton (ソルトン Soruton?): The Oceans 6 were sent to it and five other planets and wiped away the innocent robots under the cover of stopping other supposed robot revolts after the Foresta incident that is reported by Aoi News's special emergency broadcast.[24]

Kaede Cosmos[]

The Kaede Cosmos ((カエデ)宇宙(コスモス) Kaede Kosumosu?, lit. "Maple Cosmos") is a region of space where many planets reside.[25] It is home to several different planets, at least one of which, Lendard, has a government system that has started a war.[26] The Kaede Cosmos' most distinct feature is the flowing checkered pattern that envelops the entire cosmos, inverting the colors of the stars.[27]

The cosmos is also home to the following planets:

Yukino Cosmos[]

The Yukino Cosmos ((ユキノ)宇宙(コスモス) Yukino Kosumosu?, lit. "Snow Cosmos") is a region of space completely blanketed in snow.[28] Holy from the Oración Seis Interstellar originates from this cosmos.[29] It is also the home cosmos of the Church of Saintfire.[30]

The cosmos is also home to the following planets:

  • 6,999 dummy planets serve as substitutes for the planet Miltz.

Non-Fixed[]

The planet Mildian moves erratically, thus, it does not have a fixed location as it never stays in the same cosmos for long.[31]

Races[]

There is a variety of races inhabiting the Grand Shiki Cosmos:

  • Human: The main race that inhabits the many planets across the cosmoses.
  • Machine: mechanical lifeforms that come in a variety of types and models, ranging from the simplistic bots of Granbell to the more lifelike androids.[32] They serve many different purposes depending on what model they are, with some having unique roles such as actors for an amusement park,[33] battle,[34] or even for spying.[35]
  • Data: Virtual beings from Digitalis that gained self-awareness at some point after Rogue Fantasia's servers had shut down.[36]
  • Dragon: Large mechanical beings that fly throughout the cosmoses.[37] Swarms of dragons form the Dragonfall sector that surounds the Sakura Cosmos.[8]
  • Alien: A variety of lifeforms that exist in the cosmos, living with humans and robots. They come in a wide array of appearances, depending on where they were born; notably, many are anthropomorphic animals.
    • Cats: The planet Excede has anthropomorphic talking cats that sell for a lot of money in illegal activities. They are normally small in size, but if they take some odd protein, they can become towering giants.[38]
  • Camelish: Large semi-aquatic animals that can function in both arid and underwater environments.[20]
  • Chronophage: A Large black ethereal beast seemingly without solid form. It is serpent-like in shape and is large enough to swallow a planet whole.[39]
  • Kawpicatt S4: Small mimic-type parasites that tend to infest spaceships. They are capable of replicating others by acquiring their DNA.[40]
  • Nikora: Anthropomorphic dogs that reside on the planet Blue Garden.[41]
  • Picoratta: Small rabbit-like aliens native to Mildian.[42]
  • Space Slime: Amorphous creatures that with shapeshifting abilities.[43]

Trivia[]

  • The four cosmoses represent and have names with an attribute from a season:
    • "Sakura" (桜) means Cherry Blossom, a pink flower of many trees of the genus Prunus. This, with the addition of cherry blossoms floating across its space, relates to Spring.
    • Aoi has water floating in its space, representing Summer. In addition, "Aoi" (葵) means "hollyhock", a plant associated with abundance and great fortune. "Aoi" may also be derived from (青い), a Japanese word for blue.
    • "Kaede" (楓) means "maple", a genus of plants such as trees and shrubs. Autumn is normally symbolized by maple leaves.
    • Yukino represents Winter, where "Yuki" (雪) means "snow", ice crystals formed from frozen water vapor. The cosmos is completely blanketed in snow.
