Goodwin (グッドウィン Guddowin?) is the leader of Oasis, a rebel army formed to oppose the Nero Empire and free the Aoi Cosmos from Poseidon Nero's tyrannical rule,[1] and a cat from the planet Excede.[2] He is also a huge fan of the Aoneko Channel as the Oa_NEKO who is always donating to Rebecca's Financial Support Chat.[3]
Appearance[]
Goodwin is a giant cat alien with light-brown fur, a muscular build, right earring, a scar on his right eye, and two distinct tattoos on each shoulder. He wears a sleeveless jacket with a fur collar that is held together by two belts and an undershirt with cloverleaf patterns, wristbands with flame patterns, white pants with a sash, and shoes.[4]
Personality[]

Goodwin fawning over meeting Rebecca
Goodwin is a confident being who proclaims that he will be the man who takes down the Emperor.[4] Though, Goodwin does show his fanboy side, fawning over Rebecca and Happy when he meets the owners of Aoneko Channel, excitedly stating that he is their huge fan who donates his money to them under the alias of OA_NEKO. He is even more than happy to do anything for Rebecca. Despite this, Goodwin can be serious when he wants to be, as he does not take Laguna's abandonment of Oasis' cause and failure to abide by their rules lightly[5], and bluntly stating that he does not need help from outsiders.[6]
Synopsis[]
Sandra arc[]
After Shiki easily disarms the Oasis members of their weapons with Satan Gravity, Goodwin appears before the Crew of Edens from the floor and explains to them about his organization's purpose, surprising Ibaraki. He tells his subordinates to forget about Laguna for now as he is more interested in Shiki's gravity powers. Imposing over Shiki and his friends, Goodwin introduces himself and declares that he will be the one who will take down Nero.[1]
Noticing Rebecca and Happy in front of him, the Oasis rebel leader lowers down to get a closer look, intimidating them. Then he grins and enthusiastically asks the two if they are from the Aoneko Channel, stunning the Crew of Edens, Laguna, and the members of Oasis. Goodwin reveals that he is a huge fan and watches all of her B-Cube videos, remarking that he remembers Rebecca's failed attempt of taste testing all of the spicy soups after she stopped at her first bowl which he finds funny. Goodwin confirms to Rebecca with a smile and a finger gun pose that he is the Oa_NEKO who is always donating to her FSC. He compliments Rebecca that she is the best B-Cuber ever while Pino takes a photo of his best smile. When Ibaraki calls him out for misappropriating their organization's funds just to give handouts to Rebecca, Goodwin bluntly retorts that he uses his own money and tells the hotheaded member to quit whining. However, the Oasis rebel leader is reminded about Laguna by Ibaraki and glares at the actor before him. Goodwin notes Laguna as the miserable coward who abandoned the cause and he did not think he would see his face again. Goodwin glares again at Laguna who tells him that the Crew of Edens needs help from Oasis but immediately changes his tune when Rebecca begs him to let him hear what they have to say, stating enthusiastically that he will do anything for her. Resuming his glare, he declares that they can deal with Laguna and his failure to abide by their rules later.[7]
After watching the Aoi News broadcast about the consequences of Shura's public announcement across the Nero Empire, Goodwin comments that this is the first time he can sympathize with Nero who has to watch his regime lose its influence because of his halfwit son. Although, he adds that not that the Emperor doesn't deserve it. The Oasis rebel leader answers Weisz's question that it is possible for Shura to kill all of the androids in the Aoi Cosmos with the All-Link System. Goodwin explains to the Crew of Edens that there is an ocean spread across the Aoi Cosmos where once every few years, the ocean hits its high tide and swallows up every planet in the cosmos. He explains that inside the great sea, Ether and electricity combine, and all networks become connected. Raising up 3 fingers, Goodwin tells Shiki and his friends that the Aoi High Tide hits in 3 days and if they don't stop Shura before then, all of the bots will be wiped out of the Aoi Cosmos. Contemplating after Laguna pointed out that Shiki uses the same power as the Emperor's son, Goodwin frowns and bluntly states that Oasis doesn't need help from outsiders. Suddenly, Zoy runs into the room and informs everyone that there is trouble with Imperial soldiers hunting down bots at the marketplace before he got shot on the shoulder, surprising Goodwin and his Oasis subordinates. He orders everyone to grab their weapons to fend off the attack on their hideout. He is then surprised when Shiki and his friends dispatch many of the Imperial Army soldiers with ease. Goodwin remains shocked, recalling Laguna's words about Shiki.[8]
Riding on a Camelish, Goodwin charges into the marketplace and tells the shocked soldiers of the Imperial Army to get off the Planet of Sand. He proclaims to them that they might think they can control everything in the Aoi Cosmos but Sandra chooses freedom. The Oasis rebel leader slashes through the enemy troops and armored cars, telling them to inform Nero that they will fight with the people of Sandra cheering for him. Goodwin continues to attack the Imperial Army in the middle of the city.[9]
When an Imperial Army airship appears in front of Oasis, Goodwin scoffs in an unimpressed manner and jumps towards it to grab it and then throw it away with ease, surprising Shiki. Looking serious, the Oasis rebel leader remarks that he is surprised before he goes excited to learn Rebecca's combat prowess and admires her more for it. However, he becomes serious again when one of his subordinates informs him that there are enemy reinforcements on the west side. Goodwin is surprised to know from Hermit that she and the other members of Shiki's crew handled them already. He gets confirmation from Laguna that it is the Edens Zero he heard from Hermit earlier, recognizing it to be the Demon King's warship. Goodwin asks Shiki if he is the one who beat Drakken Joe, one of the Oración Seis Galáctica which Laguna states that it's not exactly public information. The Oasis rebel leader is comically surprised that Rebecca also beat Drakken too. He is stunned after Laguna advises him that if Oasis teams up with the Crew of Edens, they can win and defeat Nero.[10]
Goodwin appears before the captured Imperial Army soldiers who are locked inside their cages, intimidating them with his giant size. He asks Lizarre how many Oasis members have died, which the latter replies that they lost 16. Clenching his fist, the Oasis rebel leader is enraged by their deaths. When one brave Imperial soldier points out that they have lost comrades too and Oasis is not the only one, Goodwin squats down on the ground and tells the soldier that he's right, surprising the scared prisoners. He tells the Imperial soldiers that there are no good guys or bad guys in war as it is just two sides raising the death count while they refuse to give in. The giant cat states that the Oasis can't stop as long as the Nero Empire keeps extending its grasp. Goodwin explains that every time it does, millions or tens of millions of lives are lost along with their freedom, and once they take over, the innocents suffer from heavy taxes, oppression, and censorship as they plunder the Aoi Sea like they own it. The Oasis rebel leader roared that he hates the Nero Empire, scaring the frightened Imperial troops of his wrath. However, Goodwin declares to the stunned prisoners that while he hates the Nero Empire, he does not hate them and proclaims that when the war is over, they can hang out with Oasis for drinks or something and watch B-Cube concerts together.[11]
Nero 66 arc[]
Situated above Sandra in space with the Maine Coon[12] alongside the Edens Zero, Goodwin informs the Crew of Edens that the Interstellar Union Army started a battle with Shura's fleet on Nero 66. He remarks that they didn't ask for their help but they will take it. The Oasis rebel leader tells Shiki and his friends that they can weave through the defenses and head to the planet's surface where they will beat Shura and destroy the All-Link System. Goodwin asks them if they are coming with Oasis which Shiki confirms with a look of determination.[13]
In a flashback, Goodwin tells Laguna that while he is happy to work with the Edens Zero but the actor is another story. Growling angrily, the Oasis rebel leader tells Laguna that he does not like "allies" when they betrayed his organization. However, Ibaraki claims that he talks like that but on the inside, Goodwin is not that upset.[14] Goodwin attends the meeting with the Crew of Edens via holographic screen transmission where Witch explains that there are no perfectly clear paths to Nero 66 without getting the attention of the Imperial Army or the Interstellar Union Army. The giant cat states that Oasis will act as a diversion to keep them busy while the Edens Zero is fast enough to get through.[15] Upon encountering the Imperial Army ships in their path, Goodwin orders his subordinates to mobilize their starfighters and make a path for the Edens Zero, telling them to give their enemy the taste of Maine Coon's firepower.[16]
During Oasis' battle with the Imperial Army near Nero 66, Goodwin orders his rebel forces to ram them through as the Maine Coon shoots down several enemy ships in one powerful energy blast. He is informed by Furena that they have been noticed by the Interstellar Union Army and advised by Ibaraki to talk to them.[17] Goodwin contacts Eraser of the Oración Seis Interstellar via holographic screen transmission and explains to him about the All-Link System and its function which the latter states he is aware of that as well. The giant cat tells the Interstellar member that he does not know what the Interstellar Union Army wants but tells him that this is Oasis' fight and advises him to stay out of their way. He remains silent when Eraser explains that he is not trying to get in their way and wants to protect the Aoi Cosmos like them, stating that it is the right thing to do. After Eraser respected his organization's convictions and his passion, Goodwin accepts the Interstellar member's offer to fight together, thanking him for the help. Ending communications with Eraser, the Oasis rebel leader comments that this should help them hold out a little longer and states now they just have to put their faith in the Crew of Edens who went to Nero 66.[18]
When 10,000 Imperial Army ships appear in space nearby Nero 66 as reinforcements, Goodwin grits his teeth in annoyance and comments at the sight of such vast numbers of the enemy. Suddenly, the Oasis rebel leader is informed by his subordinate that an unidentified starfighter is approaching from 6 o'clock, surprising him. When his subordinates note of the starfighter's speed readings being off the chart, the giant cat wonders in concern if it is a new enemy model before Eraser reassures him that it is an ally and advises him to not shoot Justice.[19] After seeing reinforcements from the Interstellar Union Army showing up, Goodwin smirks that they are still in this.[20]
After hearing that the Interstellar Union Army sent a detached force to attack The Temple, Goodwin wonders if his deceased boss and the Princess are watching this. He declares that it is time to take their sea back from the evil scum that polluted it and finish what his old boss started to finally defeat the Nero Empire.[21] However, Goodwin is in grief after his subordinate informs him that the Sea Serpent killed Lizarre and Furena.[22]
