Fairy Tail Similarities[]

  • Happy, Natsu's adventure partner, is Rebecca's friend and B-Cuber companion. The name of his planet, Excede (エクシド星 Ekushido-sei), is also similar to Happy's race in Fairy Tail, the Exceed (エクシード Ekushīdo). In addition, he also shared his English and Japanese voice actresses with his fairy tail counterpart.
  • Nikora, one of Lucy's Celestial Spirits, is a species in Edens Zero.
  • Elsie Crimson has an identical appearance to Erza Scarlet, the only notable difference being that Elsie has an eye patch covering her right eye (though Erza lost her right eye as a child). They both have similar first names (エルシー Erushī and エルEruza), and their surnames come from a variety of the color red, referencing their hair color. Her method of activating her Ether Gear is also depicted the same as Erza's Requip Magic. In addition, she also shared her English and Japanese voice actresses with Erza.
  • Ether being referred to as "Magic" is similar to how Magic in Fairy Tail is powered by Ethernano.
  • Justice's base design is similar to Jellal Fernandes, which itself is based on Sieg Hart from Rave Master. The similarities become more apparent when Justice activates his Ether Gear, which changes his hair color and creates glowing lines around his right eye in the same shape as Jellal and Sieg's facial tattoos. His antagonistic relationship with Elsie also mirrors Jellal's early relationship with Erza, with their roles as "hero" and "villain" loosely switched. Justice's Ether Gear is additionally based on the magic used by Jellal and Sieghart. In addition, he also shared his English and Japanese voice actors with Jellal.
  • Most of Weisz' Machina Maker weapons are named after Dragons from Fairy Tail.
  • Mildian was the name of a village of mages in Rave Master and a city that worshiped Chronos, the god of time in Fairy Tail.
  • Etherion is named after the weapon of the same name in Rave Master and Fairy Tail.
  • The Element 4 exist in both series as an elite group consisting of four powerful individuals who each use the elements of fire, water, wind, and earth.
  • Both series, as well as Rave Master, feature a powerful antagonist faction named the Oración Seis.
  • The Four Shining Stars' Requip ability is identical to the Requip magic of Fairy Tail.
  • Witch's Battle Dress transformation into "Assault Witch" is depicted similar to Wall Eehto's mode change to "Assault Wall".
  • Magimech Attack: Meteor Breaker's Japanese name shares its kanji spelling with the spell Sema.
  • Elsie's Fairy Drone is identical to the small being in Fairy Tail's Chapter 124's cover.
  • The cover of Chapter 105 features a panther resembling Panther Lily.
  • Star Drain is based off Heavenly Body Magic from the Fairy Tail series, even being noted to have been referred to by the same name during the Dark Ages. The Star Drain technique Grand Chariot is based off the Celestial Magic and Heavenly Body Magic spell of the same name from Rave Master and Fairy Tail respectively. The Meteor technique is based on the spell of the same name from Fairy Tail.
  • Hyoga's Ice Wall shares a similar appearance to Gray Fullbuster's Ice-Make: Rampart Spell, and has the same name as his Ice-Make: Ice Wall, while Gowen's Flame Bolt is identical to Natsu Dragneel's Fire Dragon's Iron Fist.
  • The Commando Carriers of the Oración Seis Interstellar are named after the Dark Guild Oración Seis's members' codenames.
  • Dahlia's Ryuzetsu Land is a nod to the Ryuzetsu Land in Fairy Tail.
  • God Acnoella's name may reference God Serena, a Dragon Slayer who was one of the Spriggan 12, and Acnologia, one of the first Dragon Slayers who became a very powerful Dragon.
  • Deadend Crow's appearance bears a resemblance to Brain who was a member and leader of the Dark Guild Oración Seis.
