Prelude to the Aoi War is the 50th episode of the Edens Zero anime, and the final episode of the second season.
The Crew of Edens and Oasis finish dealing with the imperial army. Meanwhile, Shura gets uninvited guests at Nero 66.

- Certain battle scenes where Shiki and co. participated were not featured in the Manga.
- Orc briefly returns and fights Shiki.
- An Ether particle bomb called Maelstrom is introduced.
- The members onboard the Edens Zero battle alongside Shiki. In the manga, they had already defeated all the enemies in West Ward by the time they contacted Shiki.
- After the anime-exclusive scene where Rebecca uses her pistols to take down a group of enemies, she is seen wearing sandals again when the manga had her remain barefoot until returning to the ship.
