Summary[]

A monster appears
The crew looks down at the underwater city and Pino provides a holographic screen showing her a zoomed-in view of the temple which has a relief carved in the shape of Mother. Rebecca and Happy confirm that the relief does resemble the hologram of Mother in the Shooting Starlight guild. Shiki declares that he wants to go down to the city since they might get to meet some sea people which Weisz is displeased at. Pino wonders what they should do about the corpse in the crashed spaceship and Homura suggests that they give him a proper burial but Weisz objects since they have no idea who he is. Shiki is displeased with this but Weisz insists that they focus on the underwater city for now. Rebecca examines the dashboard of the spaceship and discovers writing on it which reads, "Nadia, love of my life." The crew explore the city and come across the corpses of countless robots. Rebecca comments that the situation resembles the sight of Granbell before realizing the effects her words might have on Shiki but he passively wonders what could have happened here while thinking back to the corpses of his friends. He resolves that they should press on to the temple. Behind Pino, a monstrous tentacle rises up from the seabed and grabs her to the shock of the crew. It is swiftly followed by an enormous tentacled monster. Pino calls out for help but when Shiki tries to use his Satan Gravity the buoyancy of the water affects his movements and he hurtles erratically out of the area, unused to controlling his power underwater.

Nadia welcomes Shiki's group
While Shiki is sent flying away, the monster uses several more tentacles to grab Rebecca, Weisz, Homura, and Happy and prepares to devour all of them. Shiki emerges from the surface of the ocean and reflects that even if he can't understand the scientific principle of the force messing with his gravity, all he needs to do is make himself heavier. He crashed back into the ocean using Magimech Attack: Gravity Center to land on the monster's head and force it to release everyone. Instead of being injured the monster simply becomes angrier forcing everyone to run for it. They manage to make it inside the temple where the monster does not follow them. They take a moment to get their bearings in the ancient structure and Shiki senses that the Ether there feels familiar in a way he cannot explain. Homura senses faint traces of an unidentifiable Ether as well. The crew then realizes that they're no longer underwater and that the door to the temple acts as a border keeping the water out. A mechanical woman approaches them and explains that the temple is protected by a special barrier and states that it has been years since she has had visitors. She smiles warmly at them and introduces herself as Nadia, the guardian of the Temple of the Mother Beacon which reminds Rebecca of the inscription she read earlier on the crashed spaceship.
